So, I saw this in Kera today, fell in love with it, and now that I see everyone calling it ugly online, am wanting it even more! I applaud Angelic Pretty for their unique color choices and designs, it's a lot better than seeing the same monotone jsk over and over again.

So I'm really tempted to get this dress, maybe not in this color, but there is a darker pink version which is AWESOME! Unfortunately, the AP page is not working for me for the moment (is it because of the summer sale???), and I'm not sure if they're even shipping to America anymore, so yeah. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

Ummm... not much going on today. I went shopping with some friends, and of course I had to dress up to do that. But it seems when you wear lolita, or at least not toting a Louis Vuitton purse, no one in department stores wants to help you. We were in MAC for like EVER before someone even bothered to acknowledge us, and then they acted like it was the hardest thing in the world to ring up our purchases! I swear, some people....

This past weekend, my sister and I decided to hook up our old Sega Saturn! We played D, if anyone remembers this rare horror game, as well as Dragon Force, a completely underrated strategy/RPG game. I remember back in the day staying up until 6 in the morning playing Dragon Force, unlocking all the characters, taking over all the castles, pillaging and plundering... then I remembered how the Saturn had one fatal error in it's system...

THE INTERNAL MEMORY DELETES AFTER SO MANY YEARS, SO ALL MY LONG NIGHTS OF STAYING UP UNTIL 6 IN THE MORNING WERE WASTED, AS MY 40+ HOURS OF GAMEPLAY ARE NOW COMPLETELY ERASED FROM THE SYSTEM.

So yeah, it's pretty much pointless to save any games to the internal memory, cause it'll be gone in 24 hours. I kinda wish I had bought a memory card now... So after that disappointment, I decided to hook up the old PS2 and play some good ol fashioned Space Channel 5! Anyone remember this game?? I forgot how fun it is and how great the music is! Lucky for me, Book Off just HAPPENED to have one of the soundtracks for the second game... so yeah, of course I bought it.

Anyways, so I got my Meta Special Set yesterday (yay!), and surprise surprise, I was actually home when the mail people delivered it. I decided to wear it out to the yogurt place a few blocks away, and took some pictures while I was out. Here's one of the shots of the dress:

The only thing I didn't like on the dress was the skirt lining. UGH! It's like a slip, only really really thin with absolutely no tulle, like the page said. It's pretty much worthless, so I'm thinking of dumping it in the garbage...

I also ordered a *cough cough* "VIVIENNE WESTWOOD" orb necklace from some random HK site. It just got here today, and I'm really pleased with it! Here's the necklace I ordered:

And these are some shots of the one I got. The only difference from the stock photo and the one I got are that their orb is more of a frosty glass, an mine's just plain clear glass. It still kicks ass, though, and I can't wait to wear it out.

Finally! I ALSO ordered the Baby the Stars Shine Bright Puppy Cup JSK in black x off white lace. It should get here some time next week, so I'll get photos of that when it comes :)

So muc h lolita, so little time (and money!). Looking at my barren lolita wardrobe, I realized that there are a lot of staple items that I am totally lacking! 2 pairs of shoes and 1 blouse with a few different colored skirts/dresses does not constitute a wardrobe, especially since I pretty much have no matching headgear to go with my outfits. SO, here is my wishlist/soon-to-be-checklist of things I ~~want~~ need to buy!

First up, is the must have summer item. Metamorphose Special Set!! For the low low price of $100, you get your choice of cute marine print dress and a matching pair of socks. They go on sale tomorrow, so I'm going to conveniently be sick and take off from work to send in my order. *cough cough* Here is the one I hope to get (because I think I look pregnant in high waist dresses)

Next up, the one blouse I really want to buy. It's a blouse, with the fabric of a cutsew, and the sleeves are detachable, so it'll be good for summer and winter! I need one in white and pink, so yeah...gotta get them.

Now, a little shift in what I normally wear, I really like some Putumayo brand items, and these two in particular (not together as an outfit, mind you!) really caught my eye. I think these are really cool looking, and I would totally wear either of these to work :)

What I don't need, but I'm going to blow my money on anyways.... BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT PUPPY CUP SERIES DRESS AND CUTSEW!!! That's not the actual name of the series, but the actual title is way too long to post! I am so ordering this style dress, in black, and this cutsew in an undecided color. I'm not sure which one I want yet! かわいいですね.

Neeeeeeext, some must have items. I love brown shoes, and though I have nothing to wear with them yet, I still fell in love with these Metamorphose brown shoes!!

Finally, the Baby the Stars Shine Bright bunny bag that everyone has but I still really want because I love stuffed animals, even if I'm 22. It's hard to carry a purse AND a parasol, so this sling bag will really help ease the load :)

So there you have it! My wish list, and when I get the money, soon to be checklist! I'm still trying to find stores that sell Ben Barnes, but I havn't had any luck yet... lol ^_^

I can either buy more lolita clothing or fill up my gas tank with $4.35/gal gas............... seriously leaning towards buying lolita clothing and fucking walking everywhere and looking damn cute while doing it. I don't know why I've been starting all my entries with "of" recently... lol. ANYWAYS! I met up with Emily after work today, and we decided to *shock* go shopping! Yay!

Sooooo, we went to Mitsuwa, where it was super crowded cause they were having some kind of $1 food deal thingy going on. In Sanseido, they finally got a new issue of GLB (vol. 29), so of course I had to get that, and the new issue of Kera:

They were having some kind of anniversary, too, so we all got free tote bags with our purchase and double points on our members cards! Nice....

Onto Book Off, King of the Stores, Not much new here, but Emily made off like a bandit with a huge stack of books for only $25!! I didn't find anything too exciting, but for $1, I had to pick up this piece of crap book. It made me laugh so hard just because of the blatant stupidity of the authors!! Seriously, some people just need to take a chill pill...

After that, we headed to an International (and by International, it was basically just Middle Eastern) market on Balboa Ave. I've been looking for good Turkish delights since my obsession of Narnia has grown recently (remember Edmund eating these????). I had no idea they were actually so good!! Extremely sweet, I think I got 6 cavities just looking at the box, but they were delicious.

Finally, Metamorphose has a cute Special Set up on their site, which I believe goes on sale June 7th. You get your choice of dress with socks for $100!! Not a bad deal at all, I've been mulling over which one I want all day....

On a final note... gas is now $4.15/gal here... yeah... sucks... so here's a picture of the most handsome man in the world: my late Kitty -_- I miss his big dumb head...

Soooooooo, it's been a bit since I've posted. I've had a miyavi concert, lolita meetup, multiple Prince Caspian viewings, and a really unfortunate viewing of the live action Death Note movie. So! First things first, here's the pictures from Thanh's camera of our karaoke lolita meetup:

Here's a group shot of me, Adriene, Thanh, & Rosie in front of Caspian's ginormous head! People were so funny, they had no idea why we were dressed up :D Some random people took their picture with us and gave us a certificate to join Prince Caspian's army. Good times...

We were worried for a moment that one of the girls wasn't going to show up. None of us had her number! I decided to check my e-mail, and by chance she had sent me her cell number. Turns out she was just lost getting there, so thankfully we got that squared away and she showed! We were all so happy :D

We called the waiter back as often as possible, he was really hot! We had him take a group shot before grinding him for his name and whether or not he was single (in case your wondering, the answers were "Larry" and "it's complicated" *______*)

We decided to go to the purikura place afterwards. Most of the machines were broken, and there were cockroaches crawling all over the floor. It was really high class!

Bonus Picture! I finally figured out how to get pictures from my cell phone to my computer, and to my pleasant surprise, it actually takes decent shots ^_^ Here's Adriene & Rosie in Downtown Disney before the Miyavi concert.

Well, that's all for the pictures. So onto some fun stuff. I've seen Prince Caspian 4 times now *_* I think I'm a little obsessed with Ben Barnes, and to me, Emily's, and Adriene's surprise, Skandar Keynes (who plays Edmund). I'm sorry, but between the last movie and this one, that kid got HOT! And in other movie news, they were randomly showing the live action Death Note movie at our theater, so me and my sister decided to dress up and go. Now I remember why I'm not as into anime as I used to be... the theater was full of the worst species of weeaboos I have ever heard! The were SCREAMING, literally, SCREAMING the whole movie, being as annoying as humanely possible. Then when I though it couldn't get any worse, that's when the fangirls began shouting YAOI over and over and over... well you get my point. UGH!

So that's all for now, I'll post our outfit pictures from Death Note when they are ready. Mata ne~

Kitty's gone... we had to have him put to sleep this morning. A few weeks ago he got sick and wasn't eating, and then it looked like he was getting better. He was starting to move around again and eat food. Last week, he wouldn't get up anymore. He stopped eating, he started going to the bathroom uncontrollably wherever he was laying, and his throat started to swell. He didn't sleep last night, and he started having trouble breathing. The medicine we gave him wasn't working, and today he became unresponsive. We had to have him put to sleep. I hate this... I hate how I've had to do this to 4 pets in the last 5 years. Seeing their face just before they leave, the guilt starts to sink in. Like, was there anything else we could've done? I feel so empty now, and I know tonight when I go to bed, the pain will sink in. I'm not okay right now.

My first good news is that I bought Mario Kart Wii this wiik, and it is soooo much fun! You can't really go wrong with a Mario Kart, though. The Wii Wheel (Wiil!) is a little hard to use at first, it really takes some practice! Now I'm actually thinking of cosplaying as either Peach or Rosalina in their awesome racing biker gear!

I FINALLY got the first of my tax refund money!! YAY! I'm hoping I still get that economy stimulus money as well, because that one's going to bills and a new TV for my room. BUT---- I placed an order with BTSSB for the following (whether or not they're actually available is up in the air *keeps fingers crossed*):

Of craft meetups and the cruel world

CRAFT MEETUP SIDE

Went to the SD Lolita craft meetup today. Yay! It was a lot of fun, just me, Adriene, Thanh & Rosie. We worked on actual craft stuff for, like, an hour. At that point I realized I was completely incapable of actually making crafts look decent, and stuck a fork in it :D

After that, we all got our hair done by our wonderfully talented hostess (thanks!), got dressed and headed out for a little road trip. We walked around Book Off for a bit, though I didn't really see anything that I needed. SHOCK! Jaime NOT buying CDs for once! Then we went to a really nummy tea place for some Boba... and I pigged out on tonkatsu and rice. YAY CALORIES! After that, it was time for some awesome puri shots down the road! I need to upload those pictures when I get the chance, they all came out so well.

I had such a good time. It's nice when there's no drama and people can just get together and actually talk and have fun for over 7 hours ^_^ I definitely can't wait to get together again!

CRUEL WORLD SIDE

My cat is sick. Like, really sick. He hasn't eaten in almost a week, he's throwing up practically 4 times a day. We took him to the vet, and the dude said he was running a fever and gave us some antibiotics to give to him. Ever since then, he's just been laying around, not eating and puking constantly. I don't know what to do. He has FIV, so he doesn't have a strong immune system. Mom's already talking about having him put to sleep. God, I would just be depressed forever if we have to. I love my pets more than anything, and it seems like all my animals die prematurely. Our kitten had to be put to sleep cause she got leukemia. My dog Lady had to be put to sleep cause she was very old and sick. My other dog Mandy had to be put to sleep about a year and a half ago because she got cancer and her body shut down ONE WEEK later. I really, really hope Kitty shows some improvement soon. He's very weak, but I'm not giving up on him yet.

Tax Refund Wish List

Okay, so I probably won't be able to get ALL of this with my tax refund, but a few pieces from my wish list would be just fine for me. That is, if any of this is still available by the time I get my money (crosses fingers)

First off, this relatively inexpensive cutsew from a shop called neko shop I believe. I like blouses, and this looks really comfortable! Plus the sleeves are detachable, which is nice. I'll probably get on in every color if fate allows it.

Next up, my 2 dream items from Innocent World. The adorable puppy dog dress in blue and the classic cherub skirt in black. Both are really nice, and both will unfortunately be very expensive due to IW not shipping to the US (middle man service will be required *____*)

This cute tartan number from Baby, which was recently added to the site. I love the colors on this, and the hat with the dress would look so cute!

Also from Baby, this simple cardigan. I can't seem to find a decent off brand cardigan anywhere, so I might shell out the $100 for this brand one.

I've had such positive shopping experiences from Meta, so I would love to order from them again! I think the Girly note dress I wanted is now gone, so I could get this bouquet skirt if it stretches to fit my... *ahem*... American sized waist. I think it has partial elastic, but this skirt will most likely be gone by the time funds arrive -_-

Finally, I'm trying to coordinate a wonderful steampunk lolita outfit, since I adore this look as well. I havn't quite found the right pieces yet, but these boots might be a nice start. I ordered some shoes from here before and they fit wonderfully.

I went to a fashion exhibit today at Balboa Park with my sister, which was a lot of fun! I was supposed to meet someone else there, but she got sick, so here's our mini photoshoot with just the 2 of us ^___^

The show was rather small, so we ducked out early and walked around the Air & Space Museum for a bit.

We found a nice little garden area to take some shots at! People around us were very confused *__*

Of Brand Dresses and Bad Video Game Movies

Item no. 1: I got home from work today, and guess what was on TV... the Double Dragon movie!! Omigosh, that movie, is sooooo awesomely bad, it hurts, and yet feels so good at the same time. I've never played any of the Double Dragon games personally, but I imagine they were nothing like the movie. Now I feel the urge to watch other bad video game movies: Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, Silent Hill... oh, how they are my precious...

Item no. 2: I got my metamorphose dress in the mail yesterday!! Yay!! It fits me really well actually, though it is a tad shorter than I would have liked (about an inch), it's still so wonderful.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

So I finally ordered my metamorphose dress today ^_______________^ I asked them if they had any more of the pink candy house high waist jsk left, and they had one available in the shop, so I ordered that and a pair of sailor over knee socks to wear with my dress I'm ordering next month for when I go to Sea World with my mom! Yay!! It should get here sometime next week I suppose, and I'm so excited for it!!

On another note, a Japanese used book/dvd/cd store opened up next to Mitsuwa, so I went there today with my sister and probably again tomorrow with Emily (which I get to hang out with for a while cause of spring break ^_^). I was all excited today, cause I had some games reserved at Gamestop, and I was going to pick them up after work and play all day ^______^ So work finally ended (couldn't be soon enough, it was Story Time day, so lots and screaming kids), and I drove to Gamestop to pick up my games. Turns out, Obscure 2 doesn't come out till tomorrow, even though they told me it came out today, AND they never recieved their shipment of Shinra UMD cases that were free when you pre-ordered FF7 Crisis Core. So, I decided to screw FF for now, because I really wanted that Shinra case, and now I have to wait another day for Obscure, if they even recieve their shipment. BLEH! Now I'll have to go amuse myself in other ways... *browses more lolita shops*

As convention time gets closer, I'm kind of feeling stupid for planning on NOT going to Anime Expo. I've been going to anime cons since 1998, and AX since 2000, so this will be the first time in 10 years not going to an anime con. That's sad...

On Saturday, I went to a lolita meetup with my sister at a tea parlor. I met some really cool San Diego lolitas, and we're already planning on a craft event, which I'm really excited for! I love making crafts, and I'm a lot better at that than sewing, which I really need to work on. I might sign up for a sewing class at school, just to help me a little more.

I also finished event mode in Smash Bros, which was soooo hard! The last boss is ridiculously hard, but somehow we managed to finish him off!! So now we have most of the characters unlocked, like Sonic and Snake, who are so random!!

Next week I plan on ordering a dress from Metamorphose, so I'll have some pictures when that comes in! I also need to order some cute accessories and socks... need to go find affordable stores for my dwindling bank account!

So, I finally got my copy of SSBB yesterday. Me and my sister waited in line starting at 8:30 for the midnight release party they were having at Game Stop. I think we were playing it until 6:00 in the morning!! It is that much awesomeness, and the music is fantastic!!!! LOVE IT!

I just bought my second lolita outfits this weekend! One is a cute pink dress with musical notes on it and black lace along the bust. I also got a white criss cross blouse, and a pair of white ribbon buckle shoes. So cute! I can't wait until they get here!!
